UGREEN Ethernet Adapter USB Gigabit Network Adapter 10/100/1000Mbps/1 Gbps with USB 3.0 Hub 3 Ports for Nintendo Switch, Wii, Windows Surface Pro, MacBook Air/Retina, iMac Pro, Chromebook, and More PC.
Best Answer: Yes, this does allow you to have multiple ethernet interfaces active at the same time. I have, on occasion, had cause to bridge three networks by using the built-in ethernet and a couple of these devices.
My only word of caution is that if you have more than one plugged in it is sometimes difficult tell which device is which. The USB Ethernet Adapter does not have it's MAC address printed on it so if you just plug two of them in and go to Network Preferences you don't see which ethernet interface is in which USB slot. I want to use my TV's internet setting and Humax PVR's ethernet capability to be able to get iPlayer etc on my TV freeview directly. I have to ethernet connect the PVR to my router but it is on a different floor. Will this device do it by connecting to my wireless network? (If not, what kit would?) I tried Powerline connectors but they did not connect to my mac wireless network (was told my Timecapsule firewall was blocking access, although the powelines 'found' each other). Asked by Gillian S. It now requires a 3rd party driver and that failed after a few days. Another quality product that we are forced to upgrade. More (Read full review). Written by Roberto A from Hayward.

Answer Yes, you can do this in System Preferences - Sharing - Internet Sharing.
You will need to figur Yes, you can do this in System Preferences - Sharing - Internet Sharing. You will need to figure out your VPN situation, though. If your VPN connection is done in your user session it may not affect your entire system's IP routing.
There's probably a way to make this work by messing with your routing tables, but you might consider instead looking into a hardware VPN solution that would sit between your modem and your MacBook. More (Read full answer). Answered by Nicholas R from Kingston. on Apr 5, 2017.
